APEX Customs AI · CUSTOMS DOCUMENTS · CEISA 4.0
One bundle of documents in. PIB data out.
Customs document AI for PPJK and customs brokers: APEX Customs AI reads invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, AWBs and Lartas documents, prepares the data for CEISA 4.0, and files it once your team has reviewed it.
This section is about a PPJK drafter's working day today: what gets retyped, what a wrong figure costs, and why more volume has always meant more people.
THE WORK TODAYTwo screens, and all of it retyped.
One shipment arrives as one bundle of PDFs. One person opens it on the left screen, opens CEISA 4.0 on the right, and moves the contents across field by field — every line item included.
Field by field, line by line
One B/L alone carries dozens of fields. One invoice can carry hundreds of line items, each with many columns.
One wrong figure, one held container
A wrong HS code or a transposed digit ends in a red lane, a correction note, and demurrage that keeps running.
Volume goes up, headcount goes up
The only way to file more AJU is to hire another drafter. The learning curve starts from zero again.
This work is not expert judgement. It is typing.
APEX Customs AI takes the typing. The judgement stays with your Ahli Kepabeanan.
The data shown here is illustrative.
This section shows what APEX Customs AI returns for one import shipment: the document on one side, the extracted fields on the other. Every value here is sample data.
LEAD FEATURE · EXTRACTIONEvery field, with its confidence.
The extraction arrives as a draft: nine CEISA form sections, filled from the source document beside them. Every field carries its confidence: the sure ones sit plainly, the doubtful ones are marked so a reviewer checks them first.

This section explains how APEX Customs AI chooses pages before it reads, for PPJK who receive bundles of hundreds of pages where most of them are never used.
LEAD FEATURE · PAGE SELECTIONOnly the pages that matter get read.
Before extracting, APEX Customs AI classifies every page: its type, whether it holds goods, and how sure it is. Only the selected pages go to the model — and APEX Customs AI writes down why it picked them.
Selected pages1-3, 7-10
APEX Customs AI's reasonPages 1-3 are the packing list with the goods detail; 7-10 continue the same table. Pages 4-6 are the commercial invoice and were skipped.
Only the pages that hold the goods are read, so the rest of the bundle is never sent to the model.
Classified page by page
Page type, whether it holds goods, and a short description — for every page in the bundle.
A range, not a guess
The result is a page range a person can read, such as 1-3,7-10.
A reason in writing
Every choice arrives with its reason, so the decision can be checked.
The Indonesian customs document types APEX Customs AI recognises, each with its CEISA document code, for PPJK who need to know whether their paperwork is covered.
DOCUMENT COVERAGEThe documents it recognises, each with its CEISA code.
Every document type maps to its official CEISA document code — 380 for an invoice, 705 for a B/L, 861 for a COO, 958 for a Laporan Surveyor. The mapping lives inside the product.

CAPABILITIESThe rest of what APEX Customs AI does.
Specialist extraction
Goods, non-goods, packing list, Lartas, manifest, HS code — each part has its own pass and schema.
Confidence per field
Every field carries its own confidence, so a reviewer knows where to look first.
OCR for scans
Scanned pages and phone photos are still read, through an OCR layer before extraction.
Async job queue
Big bundles enter a queue and run in the background; status comes back over the API.
Model fallback
When one model provider fails, the job moves to another and does not stop.
Token and cost tracking
Every run records its tokens and its cost, so cost per document is not a guess.
The boundary APEX Customs AI keeps: what the AI does, what stays a human decision, and how it relates to Bea Cukai's own system.
CONTROLAI drafts. You decide.
Nothing reaches CEISA without a person seeing it.
Review before filing
Empty fields and low confidence are flagged; your Ahli Kepabeanan closes them.
Not an official DJBC application
CEISA 4.0 belongs to Bea Cukai. APEX Customs AI prepares and sends the data; it does not replace the system.
A trail you can check
The pages picked, the reason, and each field's confidence are recorded with the result.
How APEX Customs AI connects to the systems you already run and to the other APEX Intelligence products, for IT and operations teams.
APEX Customs AI · ATLASIt connects to what you already run.
APEX Customs AI is an API. Send documents, take back JSON, file through the integration route — or let ATLAS call it, so job orders, documents and customs status sit in one place.

Questions from PPJK and freight forwarders
Does APEX Customs AI file my PIB into CEISA 4.0?
Yes. APEX Customs AI reads the documents, fills in the draft and flags the fields that need a check. Once your team has reviewed it, the draft goes to CEISA 4.0 straight from APEX Customs AI through the CEISA OpenAPI, under your company's own CEISA account — and only when your team presses send. There is no browser automation. CEISA 4.0 remains Bea Cukai's own system, and APEX Customs AI is not an official DJBC application.
Which documents can APEX Customs AI read?
The Indonesian customs documents a typical import bundle carries, each mapped to its CEISA document code: invoice (380), B/L (705), master B/L (704), AWB (740), packing list (217), COO (861), Laporan Surveyor (958), import approval (959), V-Legal (811), CITES (858), health certificate (951) and SNI (957). From Lartas documents and tax letters, APEX Customs AI takes the document number and issue date.
My bundle is hundreds of pages and most of it is not needed. What happens?
APEX Customs AI classifies every page first — its type and whether it holds goods — and then reads only the pages that matter. The result is a page range such as 1-3,7-10 together with the reason it was chosen, so you can check it.
What happens when the extraction is wrong?
Every field carries a confidence score, and low ones are flagged for review. A field that is not on the document comes back empty rather than guessed. The final call stays with your Ahli Kepabeanan before anything is filed.
Does APEX Customs AI read facilities such as ACFTA, RCEP or IJEPA?
Yes. The facility or preferential scheme printed on the document — ASEAN-CHINA (ACFTA), RCEP or IJEPA, for example — is read as one of the document-info fields, along with the certificate number and the issue date.
Where are our documents stored, and are they used to train models?
Documents are processed only for your own work. Customer document data is not used to train or fine-tune any AI model. Retention and storage location are set per contract and can follow your company's own data policy.
APEX Customs AI handles customs documents. Three other products handle operations, communication, and the needs no packaged product answers.
